Sietse Wouters 2025 Speaker

“Sietse Wouters is the Program Director for Social Finance at the UBS Optimus Foundation, where he leads ecosystem development. With extensive experience in outcomes-based financing approaches, Sietse has been instrumental in designing, structuring, and contracting various impactful investments, including the USD 100m SDG Outcomes Fund, the Quality Education India and Utkrisht Maternal and Newborn Health Development Impact Bonds. In addition, he works on investment origination and management of UBS Optimus Foundation’s direct investments in social enterprises and programs.

Before joining the foundation, Sietse worked in strategy development at UBS Asset Management. He also worked in M&A and strategy for ABN AMRO Bank in Singapore and the Netherlands and at Arthur D. Little as a strategy consultant. Sietse holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science specializing in Process Technology from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He grew up in the Netherlands, Botswana, and Kenya.”
