Our Covid Guarantee
Book with Confidence – We expect to hold a physical event in October 2022 with content available digitally to registered delegates. If we can’t hold a physical event in October 2022 due to covid restrictions or you can’t attend due to ongoing travel restrictions delegates who have bought tickets for AFSIC 2022 can roll these tickets over to our AFSIC 2023 event at no charge or gain access to our digital conference – the choice will be yours. The digital event gives access to conference content including solos and panels, as well as the ability to network with all delegates and speakers on the Event and Meeting App for a month before the event. Access to the digital event will be by ticket only. In the event of your inability to attend AFSIC due to a statutory restriction linked to covid you must advise us 10 days before the event at the latest.
Each (physical) delegate ticket includes one delegate place at the conference, refreshments, lunch (offered on whole conference days only) and any relevant documentation. No delegate will be able to gain admittance to the conference unless payment of the fee has been received. Delegates are required to pay any VAT or other indirect tax which is applicable to the country that the conference is being held in. Earlier registration is encouraged through the use of a tiered fee schedule which increases as an event comes closer. If registration rates are not paid in full before the next rate increase date, a fee increase to the next tier will be applied and you will be invoiced for this increased amount.
Within 48 hours of receipt of your registration and payment, you should be issued with a confirmation email. If you do not receive an email within this time frame, please contact the registration office.
Non-paying delegates are those delegates who are nominated by sponsors, are invited speakers, media persons or other persons identified by Africa Events Limited at its discretion.
The AFSIC Event and Meeting App opens 28 days prior to AFSIC. Cancellations of delegate places and meeting spaces received by the registration office prior to 28 days before the commencement of the conference will be subject to a cancellation fee of 15% of the applicable registration fee. Cancellations received 28 days or less before the commencement of the conference attract a cancellation fee of 100%. Complimentary and roll over tickets are non-refundable.
Cancellations of optional extra functions received by the registration office prior to 28 days before the commencement of the conference will be subject to a cancellation fee of 15% of the applicable registration fee. Cancellations received 28 days or less before the commencement of the conference will attract a cancellation fee of 100%.
Visas and Travel
It is the sole responsibility of delegates to ensure that they understand any visa requirements for entering the country where the conference is being held. Failure to be granted a visa does not constitute a valid reason for cancelling a delegate ticket without the normal cancellation fees being applied.
Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and costs.
Substitutions may be made, in advance or at the event, with proper documentation at the sole discretion of Africa Events Limited. Proper documentation consists of a letter on company stationery displaying the name of the original delegate and the person who will be attending in his or her place.
Suitcasing is the practice of actively soliciting attendees of a tradeshow or an event for business onsite without being a sponsor or exhibitor, for instance by handing out flyers in hallways or leaving printed material on tables. For the benefit of delegates and the exhibitors supporting the event, the only legitimate space to undertake soliciting for business is within an exhibition space. Attendees observed undertaking suitcasing will be removed from the event with no recourse.
A comprehensive Event and Meeting app is provided for the use of Delegates. This allows delegates to communicate with each other during the event. It is prohibited to data scrape from the app. Data scraping is a technique in which a computer programme or human extracts data from the app.
In certain circumstances it may be necessary for Africa Events Limited in its sole discretion to alter the content, venue, themes, programme, speakers, moderators or timing of an event. You acknowledge and agree that Africa Events Limited reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the event at any time including the programme, venue and time.
By registering as a delegate you agree that you will not solicit delegates for a future conference during this event.
