“The Good Roll originated from a shared frustration with two staggering global challenges: 2.3 billion people – around 32% of the world���s population – lack access to safe and clean toilets, and an estimated 27,000 trees are cut down each day for toilet paper production. Inspired by these issues, The Good Roll developed a Dutch win-win concept: a 100% tree-friendly toilet roll initially made from bamboo, a more sustainable material.

In 2024, The Good Roll moved up the supply chain by building their own bamboo pulp sheet factory in Ghana. With the goal to change the paper chain, The Good Roll is now on track to become the world’s first Fair Trade toilet paper brand, setting new standards for ethical production.”
