“Richard FUSI is the Manager for Non-Sovereign Operations in Industry & Services at the African Development Bank (AfDB). This includes private sector investments in industrial sectors, including Mining and Mineral beneficiation. Gas beneficiation, Manufacturing, ICT, Pharmaceuticals, and related service sectors. He has over 15 years’ experience in development finance and private sector investments.
Previously he was a Chief Investment Officer responsible for originating, structuring and executing debt and equity investments in a range of sectors and geographies. He is experienced in developing business in difficult and transitional markets in Africa, and a specialist in strategic client relationship management. Mr. Fusi has also served on several shareholder advisory boards where he provided specialized advisory support, diverse expertise and strategic guidance to management and board of directors on key matters such as governance and a wide range of complex business problems.

Prior to joining the AfDB, Mr. Fusi held multiple roles in finance and banking with international financial institutions in Europe and in Africa. He is a Certified Project Management Professional and holds a master’s in development finance from The University of Manchester and a certificate in executive leadership from Harvard Business School.”
