Medha Wilson is the Chief Executive Officer of MicroLoan Foundation, where she leads the organization’s strategic vision and oversees its operations across Africa. She serves on the board of MicroLoan’s subsidiaries in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, driving impactful financial inclusion initiatives that empower rural women and smallholder farmers. With extensive experience in financial inclusion, Medha has held senior operational and investment management roles across emerging and frontier markets in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Her expertise spans the establishment and scale-up of greenfield operations, turnaround management of struggling entities, and corporate governance. She also has a strong track record of engagement with social and impact investors. Under Medha’s leadership, MicroLoan Foundation has experienced significant expansion, more than doubling its outreach and earning recognition as a top impact award winner in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has spearheaded a major digital transformation, implementing customized financial solutions tailored to the needs of rural women and pioneering innovative financial products for smallholder farmers. A Qualified Chartered Accountant, Medha holds a degree in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from The London School of Economics. Her leadership continues to shape the future of inclusive finance, ensuring sustainable growth and economic empowerment for underserved communities
