“David Kleiterp is a global investment leader with 12+ years of private equity, venture debt, and structured finance experience across Africa, Latin America, and MENA. David has extensive experience in sourcing, structuring, and managing US$ 500m+ in transactions. David Has a proven track record of realizing 20+% IRRs across different capital strategies.

David is currently building Mobilis Capital Partners, an innovative emerging markets investment platform scaling SME financing vehicles that blend institutional rigor with entrepreneurial execution. Alongside this, he serves as Head of Investments at Untapped Global, Investment Committee Member at Keyo, and Non-Executive Director at Cherehani Africa.

David is recognized for accelerating capital deployment through rapid, data-driven due diligence and disciplined underwriting, David builds strong, trust-based relationships with entrepreneurs and investors. His work focuses on bridging local market realities with global pools of capital, with a particular emphasis on blended finance, risk-sharing structures, and mobilizing private investment at scale.
Prior to his current role, he gained experience in complex strategic and financial assignments at The Abraaj Group, 54 Capital, and Zoscales Partners. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen and a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol.

A regular speaker at private capital and fintech forums, he has shared insights on mobilizing capital in emerging markets at leading PE/VC/Credit forums.”
