Brenton Naicker is a venture capital investor, founder, and startup advisor, currently serving as the Principal and Head of Growth at Africa’s leading blockchain-focused early-stage VC fund and accelerator. Committed to supporting the next wave of African entrepreneurs and innovators. As a former African leader for Binance, one of the world’s largest fintech companies, he spearheaded the company’s growth in Sub-Saharan and East Africa, helping to launch initiatives like the “Binance Masterclass” series, which educated over 100,000 Africans, and the Binance Smartchain Developer Bootcamp, which trained 1,200+ African developers. Brenton has been a key figure in introducing blockchain and cryptocurrency technology to Africa, contributing to regulatory initiatives such as the IFWG (a South African Reserve Bank initiative), SANBA, and CAASA. As a founder, investor, and mentor, Brenton is passionate about guiding African startups to scale, serving as a mentor, judge, and guest lecturer at organizations such as SeedStars, CV Labs, UCT Financial Innovation Hub, and the Global Startup Awards – Africa. His mission is to continue building Africa’s blockchain and startup ecosystem, investing in and empowering entrepreneurs to create impactful solutions.
