“Anass Joundy has 23 years’ experience in Banking, including 19 years in the commodity-financing sector.

Following a Masters (business & Administration) from Toulouse business school and specialized masters in Finance at ESCP EAP (Paris), Anass Joundy worked in BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole in Capital markets for 2 years.

Anass joined EBRD in 2012 in the Natural Resources team as a Principal Banker, after having spent 7 years at Credit Agricole, originating and structuring financing in the MENA region. I am currently in charge of Natural Resources activities (in the whole oil, gas, and mining value chain sectors ) in South and East Mediterranean (SEMED), which include Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and West Bank/Gaza. More recently in 2025, I am also covering Sub-Saharan Africa as the Bank has expanded its geographical remit further South (Benin, Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya)”
