Biography

Thierry graduated with a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from Paris IX-Dauphine University in France in 1990 later joining PwC in London and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales in 1993. He started his career in investment banking in London at Flemings later joining Blakeney Management, a London-based investment boutique, focusing on public and private equity in Africa and the Middle East. In this capacity, he worked on private equity transactions in sub-Saharan Africa across a number of sectors notably financial services and telcos.  Thierry moved to Mauritius in 2005 where he co-founded Kibo Capital Partners, a private equity firm focusing on fast growing SMEs in Southern and Eastern Africa.  He is Managing Partner of Kibo Capital since 2013 and is Board member of several listed and unlisted companies in the region.
