Biography

Omawumi has, for the past 20 years, focused on Environmental, Social and Safety Risk Management, with an emphasis on Risk Assessment, Business Management, Training, Management Systems Implementation and Auditing. Her key competence areas include management systems development and implementation, due diligence, corporate performance improvement and sustainability. Her current key interests are climate/green finance strategy and implementation.
She currently works to implement the Africa Finance Corporation’s E&S Risk Management policy, adding E&S value across its transaction pipeline and portfolio. Omawumi is also an avid writer on environmental and social issues – she has written for three Nigerian newspapers and has authored seven illustrated children’s books on safety, environmental management, culture and history.
