Biography

Mobola da-Silva is a Venture Partner at Capria Ventures and is instrumental in driving Capria’s investment strategy in Africa and in achieving the firm’s vision and growth ambition in the region. She brings an illustrious experience of 15+ years in venture capital with a deep understanding of the African startup ecosystem and a passion for investing. Prior to joining Capria, Mobola was a Partner at the uMunthu Fund where she invested in inclusive, technology-enabled businesses, providing access to essential goods and services for low to middle-income households in Africa. At Alitheia Capital, she channeled smart capital into key growth sectors and co-created a pioneering gender-focused fund to leverage the power of gender diversity for superior performance. She also developed innovative interventions in the renewable energy space, working with multinationals and international investors to catalyze investment in sustainable off-grid energy solutions. She has also gained valuable experience working with global organizations like Accenture and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) early in her career. Mobola is an active participant in the investment ecosystem and holds a number of non-executive board director and committee positions. She is also a portfolio advisor for the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation.
