Biography

Jonathan Stichbury, ASIP and has been CEO of Sanlam Investments East Africa Ltd (SIEAL) since 2000 and has been an investment professional for over 25 years. SIEAL was previously branded PineBridge Investments East Africa and before that AIG Investments East Africa. However, in June 2017, PineBridge sold its majority shareholding to the Sanlam Group.

During Jonathan’s tenure, SIEAL has grown to become one of the largest asset management firms in East Africa with over $2 billion under management. SIEAL’s client base includes local and international pension funds and institutions as well as local retail clients. Jonathan leads a team of over 30 based in offices in Nairobi and Kampala, including 12 investment professionals who invest primarily in listed equities and fixed income assets throughout East and Sub Saharan Africa.
