Biography

John Hodder is a geologist by background with a B.Sc. majoring in Geology and a B. Com. majoring in Finance from the University of Queensland. John spent ten years in the mining and oil and gas industries, with LASMO, City Resources & CONOCO (UK), before completing a Masters in Finance at London Business School. John established the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) mining, oil and gas investment department in 1995 and was responsible for its activities for eight years. He worked with Suncorp and Solaris in Australia as a fund manager focusing on the resources sector between 2006 and 2011, managing a natural resource portfolio of ~AUD$1.25bn. John co-founded Tembo Capital with David Street.
