Biography

Jassandra Nyker is a distinguished investment executive with over two decades of experience in private equity, venture capital, and CleanTech investments. She has managed and deployed over $1 billion in capital across clean energy projects in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia.

As the former CEO of Nala Renewables Limited, Jassandra expanded the project pipeline to 3.4GW across 13 countries, overseeing $400M in equity commitments and advancing global solar, energy storage, and wind initiatives.

Previously, she was the Managing Director at Denham Capital Management, where she led a private equity fund specializing in power, mining, and commodities. She also served as CEO of BioTherm Energy, where she drove significant acquisitions, development, and exits across diverse regions.

Jassandra’s extensive experience includes roles at PCG Asset Management, Booz Allen Hamilton, Lehman Brothers, and Brait Private Equity. She is a board member of the South African Wind Energy Association and a 2012 WEF Young Global Leader.
