Biography

Isabella Mnisi is the Sector Head for Asset Management and Funds at Rand Merchant Bank with 20 years’ experience in the investment banking and investment management industry. As Sector Head, she articulates and drives the strategy for the sector and have overall accountability for the effective management, growth and profitability of clients within the assigned sector portfolio.

Before joining RMB, Isabella Mnisi spent six years with Ashburton Investments where she was instrumental in establishing the Ashburton Investments’ unlisted assets business and was a member of the Ashburton Exco, Private Equity Fund Investment Committee and Private Markets Governance & Valuations Committees. During her time at Ashburton, Isabella held the roles of Chief Investment Officer for Private Markets, Head of Investment Governance and Sustainable Investing and Head of Product Development for unlisted assets. Prior to joining Ashburton Investments, Isabella worked for RMB, Absa Capital and DBSA specialising in fields including Credit Analysis, Investment Analysis, Structured Finance, Project Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking Coverage and Interest Rates Derivatives and Structuring.

Isabella Mnisi is a CFA Charterholder and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics and a postgraduate degree in Advanced Mathematics of Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master’s degree in commerce from the University of Johannesburg.
