Biography

Gbenga Hassan is the Managing Partner at Àrgentil Capital Management Limited and oversees the principal investments, private equity and asset management business. Gbenga has over 25 years of private equity, principal investing, and financial advisory experience in the international and West African markets. Gbenga is a very active investor in the SMEs and technology sector in Nigeria and West Africa. At Àrgentil he has led investments in early-stage technology startups in mobility (Gokada, Treepz), health tech / biotech (54gene) etc. At Àrgentil, Gbenga Hassan founded First Modular Gas Systems Limited (FMGSL) a clean energy company that develops distributed processing plants utilising gas that is otherwise flared and converts for use in power generation and home cooking in the process reducing CO2 emissions. As an active investor in many early-stage SME’s Gbenga Hassan sits on the board of many companies where he provides strategic advice and support to entrepreneurs across different areas including raising financing, business development, strategy execution, networking etc.
