Biography

“Appointed Chief Investment Officer for the Izwe Group, Eugene has executive responsibility for all activities of value creation. This includes Mergers and Acquisitions, Treasury, Marketing and Human Capital across the Financial Services Group. The Izwe Africa Group is a Mauritius registered financial services company operating in five countries.
After completion of his BCom Hons degree, Eugene joined Rand Merchant Bank Treasury in a deal making capacity, progressing to the position as Desk Head. This was followed with extensive financial structuring experience, culminating in being awarded the global USD6 billion Government of South Africa bond transaction in 2006.

Eugene furthered his career as an independent Treasury consultant, concluding structuring transactions for various Sub Sahara corporate entities, including MMI, NamPost, NamPower, Stanlib Botswana, and PostBank Botswana. Before joining the Izwe Group as Group Treasurer in 2015, he worked as Group Treasurer at Aveng construction- a listed South African company with a R80 billion balance sheet at the time.”
