Dorien Mulder 2023 Speaker

Investment Director

Medical Credit Fund

Biography

With a background in healthcare provision, management consultancy, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare infrastructure development, Dorien joined Medical Credit Fund (MCF)/PharmAccess team in 2010. She currently serves as the Investment Director. Dorien is no stranger to public speaking, having been invited to share her insights at various conferences, including the Geneva Health Forum just last year. Working alongside a team of dedicated business advisors, Dorien’s primary focus is on supporting the growth and development of health SMEs in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania through impact investment. To achieve this, she and her team conduct comprehensive analyses of each SME’s finances, define their investment needs, identify growth opportunities, and areas for improvement. The funds are then invested in facilities, equipment, staff, and procedures that enhance the quality of care. MCF’s work has been recognized globally, with numerous awards to their name. They have been honored with the ImpactAssets 50 award eight times since 2013 (including the most recent edition), recognized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the SME Finance Forum for Innovations in Small Business Lending, and the Finance for the Future Awards in the Moving Financial Markets Category in 2021.
