Biography

“Charles has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry across many regions including Africa, Europe, United Kingdom, Channel Islands, and Caribbean.
In 2022 Charles was a member of the team that executed a $1.5B blue-bond based debt restructure in Ecuador, lowering debt costs and protecting over 200k sq km of ocean around the Galapagos.

He started his career in sales and trading at Rand Merchant Bank. He then spent ten years in capital markets in London focusing on complex derivative structuring. He returned to South Africa in 2010 to join Catalyst Fund Managers.

Since 2015, Charles has held executive positions at advisory and consulting firms focusing on establishing impact funds and executing sustainable finance transactions.”
