Biography
Abi Ajayi is Head of Primary Markets – Middle East and Africa at the London Stock Exchange with principal responsibility for the development of the capital markets business and promoting the unique market model and benefits of listings in the region.
Prior to joining the London Stock Exchange Group, Abi was responsible for coverage of key clients in Sub-Saharan Africa at Bank of America. In this role he led various M&A and capital markets origination- raising over $25bn for corporates, private equity, government, and government-related entities operating in the region.
Prior to his time at Bank of America, Abi worked at Chapel Hill Advisory Partners. Here, he led and executed capital raising and advisory transactions across different sectors including Oil and Gas, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Financial Institutions. Notably, he advised on landmark transactions – advising the Central Bank on financial system stability and helping to restore intervened banks to a safe harbour.
Abi holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Economics, a Master of Science in Information Systems, and a Master of Business Administration from the London Business School.
