Biography

Micheal Akampa is a sustainable investment professional with vast experience working in Europe and internationally. He was the Founder of Traction Capital, a Sweden based impact investment company that invests in emerging and frontier markets in Africa and Asia. Prior to founding Traction Capital, Micheal worked in various senior roles in the Treasury and Investment departments of several regional and international banks where his knack for deal structuring was developed. Over the last decade, he has structured and closed several transactions in real estate, agriculture, technology, energy, and infrastructure, among others. With a Background in Financial Economics, Micheal also has advanced Masters degrees in Financial Management, and in Risk Analysis, and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Investment and Risk Analysis at Stockholm University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, and the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
