Biography

Angela Homsi is the co-founder and CEO of Angaza Capital, a global funds management firm focusing on sustainability and impact investments. Angela is a big believer in the power of finance and technology to better the world socially and environmentally. She started her career at Goldman Sachs, then worked with Apax founder Sir Ronald Cohen and joined a leading sustainability-focused investment firm (AUM US $24BN) with former VP Al Gore. She is also an Investment Committee member of Microvest Fund, chairing the Ad Board of Seeds of Peace and was YPO Global Diplomacy Chair. In 2014, Angela decided to pursue her vision and establish a sustainable, global impact enterprise and co-founded Ignite Power with the goal of providing hundreds of millions of people in emerging countries with innovative solutions to their vital needs. Today, the company provides over 1.1 million people in Africa with advanced home solar systems, solar irrigation systems, clean cooking stoves and more.
