Biography

Yvonne Okafor is an Investment professional passionate about development and community in and around Africa. As an Investment Officer at Untapped Global based in Nairobi, she co-leads the CapEx Investment Fund which invests in small and medium-sized businesses using a specialized data-driven approach called Smart Asset Financing. She’s also the co-founder of A&A Collective, a global community of 300+ junior to mid-level investment professionals working towards the growth of the African technology and investment ecosystem.

Prior to joining Untapped Global, Yvonne Okafor worked as a consultant at Open Capital in Nairobi, an Operations Analyst at a United Way Worldwide’s International Network, as well as an investment analyst and independent consultant in the Venture Capital and Private Equity industry between Nigeria and the United States. Through her work, she has provided varying levels of operational, financial, and investment support to impact-focused investment firms, startups, growth businesses, and non-profits.

She has a Masters in Finance from American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Spanish from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania.
