Biography

Wim van der Beek is the founder and managing partner of Goodwell Investments, a pioneering impact investment firm focused on inclusive growth in emerging markets. Goodwell channels capital to scalable business solutions that combine demonstrable social and environmental impact with commercial financial returns.

Wim is an investment specialist with over two decades of experience in early-stage equity, financial structuring, cross-border direct investments, and private equity investments.

Within Goodwell, he manages Aavishkaar Goodwell India Microfinance Development Company I and II and serves on the Board and Investment Committee of Goodwell West Africa Microfinance Development Fund and the uMunthu Fund. He also serves on the board of portfolio companies MFS Africa, Nomanini, and WhereIsMyTransport. Before founding Goodwell Investments, Wim was a Partner and financial services expert at PWC for over ten years.

Wim holds a Master’s in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has enjoyed post-graduate education at INSEAD, Darden School of Business, and at several of Europe’s oldest universities.
