Uka Eje is the Co-Founder & CEO of ThriveAgric Limited, a fast-growing agricultural technology company based in Nigeria, passionate about ensuring food security.

He co-founded ThriveAgric in 2017 (& began fully in 2018) with a vision to build an Africa that feeds herself and the world, by linking smallholder farmers to finance, data-driven best practices, and access to local & global markets for their commodities.

Under Uka’s leadership, ThriveAgric has produced and traded over 1.5 million metric tonnes of grains; impacted 2900+ communities across Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya and onboarded 514,000+ farmers (some of whom now produce up to 6% of Nigeria’s total maize demand), in just five years of full operations.

Uka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Covenant University, and is an alumnus of YCombinator, Alibaba Business School, Google Launchpad Accelerator and the University of Leeds’ Future of Food Programme. He has also spoken on notable global stages like the World Bank and Harvard Business School, providing insights on winning in Africa’s agricultural sector working with rural farmers.

He is the recipient of several recognition awards including 2019 Forbes 30 under 30, 2019 Future Award for Agriculture, and 2018 Top 5 CEOs in the African Business CEO Summit.”
