Biography

“Teddy is an Africa Investment Advisor to the US DFC, covering East Africa. He is resposible for sourcing and pre-screening transactions, monitoring DFC’s investments, and general field presence support to DFC investment teams in DC.

Prior to the DFC, Teddy was an investment professional at the Soros Economic Development Fund, the Impact Investing arm of the Open Society Foundations. He worked on strategy design and implementation on investing in Agribusinesses in Sub-Saharan Africa and his investing role included sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring various direct and indirect investments.

Teddy also worked as a Leveraged Finance banker at JP Morgan in New York where he focused on high yield bond and leverage loan originations for clients in the natural resources, homebuilding, consumer, and retail sectors.

Teddy holds a MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from MIT and Bachelor’s in Economics from Williams College.”
