Biography

Educated as an engineer and economist at Yale University, over the past 30 years, Suleiman has served in senior leadership roles at various leading institutions, including Equator Bank, HSBC Bank plc and CDC Group plc (now British International Investment). He is currently the Chief Investment Officer at Equator Capital Partners, a private equity firm that manages the ShoreCap family of funds. The ShoreCap funds invest in financial services businesses across Africa, Asia and emerging Europe. Suleiman also serves as a non-executive director of various companies, including chairing I&M Bank Uganda, GA Insurance Uganda and Red Sea Energy.
