Biography

Stephen Alangbo is the Executive Director Technical Operations. He is a top management insurance leader, well-rounded in all facets of insurance business and have accumulated over 30years quality experience, working with Top Brands within the Insurance sector. As one of the 5 nominees for the African Insurance award of the CEO category of the year 2020 organized by Africa Reinsurance Corporation, Stephen has successfully carved a niche as a Life Insurance Specialist. He has expertise in key areas such as Risk Management & Compliance Centric, Corporate Governance Champion, Strategic Business Development, Technical Operations, Regulatory bodies/ Brokers relations and Product Design & Development. He was the past Chairman of Life Offices Committee (LOC) of Nigeria Insurers Association (NIA), also once a council member of NIA. He has served as Managing Director in various organizations in the insurance industry within and outside Nigeria. One of the Companies he served as Managing Director was recognized by London Stock Exchange as one of ‘The Companies to Inspire Africa in 2019’ based on its high standard of Corporate Governance, Year on Year growth trajectory and ethical business Practices. Stephen has undergone various trainings both locally & internationally. Also, he was once a facilitator in AIO speaking on Life Assurance in West African Region. He has also received several awards for his outstanding performance both in school and out of school. He obtained his B.Sc. (Mathematics with Statistics) from the University of Lagos and his MBA from the ESUT Business School, Enugu. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).
