Biography
Souhir is Oxford Business Group’s Regional Editor for Africa and has been with the company for almost eight years. She currently oversees research and editorial processes in some of Africa’s largest economies, including Nigeria and Kenya. Souhir started off her career at OBG in the company’s editorial department in Istanbul in 2011 and has since occupied several key roles.
Throughout the years, she has worked extensively on a variety of macro-economic related matters, meeting and interviewing some of Africa’s most prominent government and business leaders on topics varying from trade ties and agriculture to regional integration and Fintech.
Souhir is half British, half Tunisian and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of her own region and Africa.
She has contributed extensively over the years to OBG’s flagship product, The Report, and writes regularly for her own blog page on the OBG website. She is also a speaker and moderator at Africa-related events and conferences.
Souhir holds a BA in English Studies and a Masters in Economics and Political Science from the University of Paris Sorbonne. She speaks English, French and Arabic fluently and is based in Istanbul.
