Biography

Sherif Abdel Aal is the Managing Director and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at KAMCO Investment Company. He has more than 20 years of progressive professional experience in investment banking, private equity, direct investments, corporate banking and market research. Previously, he was The Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Pharos Investment Banking. He also held different positions at Commercial International Bank, CI Capital, Dubai Islamic Bank, Ahli United Bank and Concord International Investment Group. Sherif has been involved in the execution of more than 65 private equity and investment banking transactions worth more than US$6 billion. He has also managed direct investment portfolios of more than 90 companies across a wide range of sectors and four private equity funds with US$ 400 million of committed funds. Sherif is an Independent Board Member and Head of Internal Audit Committee of both; Ahram Security Group (ASG) and Carina Wear. He is also a founding member and head of the Training Committee of the Egyptian Private Equity Association (EPEA) and a member of Egyptian Capital Market Association. Sherif is a Certified Instructor, Program Advisor and Material Consultant at the Institute of Banking and Finance, the American University in Cairo (AUC).
