Biography

Samade Jhummun is the Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Finance, the leading voice for the financial services industry in Mauritius which launched in 2021.

Samade Jhummun is an experienced and independent-minded Non-Executive Director and finance professional who skillfully balances commercial priorities with social objectives. He brings extensive experience in the financial services industry at Executive Director, Board and CEO level, having held senior positions in Mauritius, the Channel Islands and Ireland. He also served as the CEO of Global Finance Mauritius and Managing Director of Argyll Management Services Ltd, as well as earlier roles at Northern Trust, Trident Trust Ltd, Deutsche Bank Ltd and Multiconsult Ltd.

Samade Jhummun is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, the International Fiscal Association and the Mauritius Institute of Directors. His interests outside work include spending time with his family and football.
