Biography

Based in Nairobi, Ms. Whalley structures investments in East and Southern Africa, and provides post-investment portfolio support. She has broad impact investing experience across Africa, in the FMCG, agriculture and asset financing sectors. Prior to joining AHL, Ms. Whalley worked for InfraCo Africa, where she focused on investing in distributed solar PV mini-grids in Zambia. Before that, she joined AgDevCo as its second employee, helping to build AgDevCo into a leading pan-African agri-investor. Her role culminated in three years in Mozambique as Country Manager, sitting on the board of numerous agricultural companies, structuring deals and overseeing 22 investments across multiple value chains. Rosanne has degrees from the University of York (BA Hons) and the London School of Economics (MSc).
