Biography
Accomplished Senior Position with 25+ years of experience with Commercial International Bank (CIB).
Rania Abdel Aziz is appointed the task to lead the “Strategic Relations Group”, prior to this role Rania’s career at CIB started 1987 realizing a series of successful leadership and transformational roles across Institutional Banking namely Corporate Banking, Mid-Cap Banking and Global Customer Relations (GCR).
Proven ability to express leadership and experience in handling numerous industries within Corporate Banking Group towards the objective of growth, quality portfolios and soliciting of new accounts.
Led the strategic program of re-engineering the SME’s Department to match the banks strategy during 2009. Succeeded in channelling the small enterprises “S” through product focus lending within branch network while focused on attracting and growing medium sized companies “M” within the Mid-Cap Team to create future corporates. This was successfully accomplished in a period of 12 months with total shift in the department to confirm to CIB strategy and budget with remarkable on-going growth results were achieved.
Rania was a Chairperson of one of the Credit Committees, alternate member in Asset Liabilities ALCO and Financial Institutions FI committee.
Rania started her banking career at Commercial International Bank (CIB) in Heliopolis Branch in 1987 after graduating with high honours from faculty of Commerce (Business Administration). She was admitted to CIB credit course, and later worked her way up the ranks becoming a Group Head in Corporate Banking Group moving onwards to head different strategic departments at CIB.
