Biography

Oscar Silva is Chairman of Davos International Advisory Ltd, a London based advisory firm focused on private equity across emerging markets. He has over 30 years of experience leading investment banking and investment management businesses in emerging markets. His recent experience includes over US $250 mm of fundraising advisory to private equity funds targeting the small & medium enterprise (SME) sectors across Africa. He has also advised the Islamic Development Bank on corporate finance matters and led US $600mm of acquisitions of two North African financial services firms. He works with a wide range of institutional investors including development finance institutions, impact investment organisations, family offices and pension funds.

He is a frequent lecturer and speaker on investment banking and asset management at international conferences. He also has a strong interest in academia, with teaching and lecturing assignments at Imperial College Business School (London), Fordham University-New York (Gabelli School of Business), Pace University-New York (Lubin School of Business Administration) and New York University.

He is a lawyer by training and holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.
