Biography

Nirav manages Kaizenvest’s private equity operations in India and leads the firm’s results-based financing practice globally. The latter includes Kaizenvest’s role as the implementation partner of USAID’s blended finance initiatives – CATALYZE EduFinance South Africa and CATALYZE EduFinance Rwanda. Nirav chairs the board of trustees of Global Schools Forum and is a member of the steering committee of USAID’s Education Finance Network. He is a director on the board of Varthana, an India-based financial intermediary that provides school and student loans to the affordable non-state education sector, and has authored a paper on India’s EduFinance success story and the lessons it can offer to other developing countries. Before joining Kaizenvest, Nirav was with the Tata Group for over 20 years in various roles including as the CEO of the two education companies of the Group.
