Biography

Michael Darcy B.Eng MBA CEng MIET has more than 30 years’ experience in mobile and satellite communications. With a background in digital signal processing and digital beam-forming, Mike has been connecting the unconnected in Africa for more than 20 years, starting in the 1990s with the design of new digital satellite payloads to deliver GSM and GPRS over satellites to Africa, deployed for Inmarsat, Thuraya and others. Later he served as General Manager of the European business of Hughes, before forming AMN in 2013.
