Biography

Martin is the Founder & CEO of Octavia Carbon, the Global South’s first Direct Air [Carbon] Capture (DAC) company. Octavia Carbon designs, builds and deploys DAC technology that uniquely leverages Kenya’s geothermal heat, geology & talent to reverse climate change and end the fossil fuel age. They and their CO2 storage partner Cella are now building the world’s 2nd-largest DAC+Storage plant in the Kenyan Rift Valley by 2024. As Octavia’s CEO Martin leads the company’s work on strategy, sales and fundraising. His background is in strategy consulting at Dalberg, where he also served as the firm’s global CDR and carbon markets expert. He holds a B.A. and M.A. degree in Management and Political Science from the University of Cambridge.
