Biography

Martin is co-founder and CEO of Ecoligo, a fully-financed solar-as-a-service solution provider for businesses in emerging markets. In his last role he worked as Vice President Engineering for OneShore Energy and was responsible for all engineering aspects on PV-diesel hybrid systems. Prior to OneShore Martin was the Business Development Manager for Microgrids with ABB. He built up the Microgrids EMEA organization for the company and was responsible for business development within this region. Before working for ABB, Martin was responsible for the launch and management of European activities for Australia-based Powercorp Pty. Ltd., which used to be the world market leader in high-penetration renewable energy Microgrids. Earlier he worked as a R&D engineer in Australia for them. He started his career at a German regional utility and worked on the electrical design and grid integration of solar PV plants.

Martin has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Trier University of Applied Science, a Master of Business and Engineering from Steinbeis University in Berlin and a Global Executive MBA from IE business school in Madrid. He also is a Certified Expert for Climate & Renewable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
