Biography

Mark is British International Investment’s Chief Legal Officer with oversight of the company’s legal, regulatory and tax affairs. Mark joined British International Investment in 2006 as its General Counsel/Company Secretary and manages the lawyers and tax executives, who have advised on/supported every British International Investment commitment since then. Mark also chairs the US-based Global Private Capital Association’s Legal and Regulatory Council, co-chairs the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association’s Legal and Regulatory Committee and is a UK regional board member of the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers. Mark has a deep interest in the development of financial centres in Africa, including Rwanda’s.
