Biography

Marcelina is a Founder and Director of Myrtle Growth Capital based in Namibia. She is an eminent financial sector expert with extensive local and international experience spanning 25 years, both as a former financial services regulator and a financial services provider across various African countries. She serves as a Director on several public and private sector boards throughout Africa, including the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa and the First Lady of Namibia’s ONE Economy Foundation. She holds an MBA(Law) amongst other qualifications in economics and finance.

Passionate about finding sustainable solutions to reduce wealth inequality in Africa, especially amongst women and youth who are marginalized and often excluded from the formal financial sector, Marcelina promotes proactive financial inclusion policies at all levels in addressing the economic imbalances in Africa.
