Biography

Mamedupi Matsipa is an Investment Professional with over 18 years’ experience in IT, Investment Banking and Private Equity.

Mamedupi Matsipa’s expertise is in structuring and implementing private equity transactions; corporate financing solutions, business strategy and corporate governance.

Mamedupi Matsipa is currently Chief Executive Officer at Ata Capital Pty Ltd, a private equity fund manager, where she is has overall executive responsibility for the company, deal origination, execution and post-investment management.

Mamedupi Matsipa’s career history spans over companies including Accenture Consulting, and the FirstRand Group, where her last position there was an Investment Banking Transactor in the Acquisitions and Leveraged Finance division.

Mamedupi Matsipa holds a B.Com Honours degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Johannesburg.

Mamedupi Matsipa currently serves on the boards of Spring Lights Gas, rain, Medipost Holdings, Novasun Products and Respiratory Care Africa on behalf of Ata Capital. She also serves as independent investment committee member for the FirstRand Empowerment Foundation and a trustee for the Shalamuka Foundation.
