Biography

Karima leads LeapFrog’s Africa Financial Services investment team, driving landmark investments such as Sun King, Interswitch, and AIICO. Her work in shaping the investment landscape is widely recognised and Karima was listed in PEI’s 2023 Top 10 Women of Influence in Private Equity.

Karima sits on the board of Sun King, Interswitch and AVCA (Africa Private Equity and Venture Capital Association). She is also a member of the UK Institute of Directors.
Her previous roles include Chief Investment Officer at ADC African Development Corporation, Managing Partner at Chayton Capital LLP and Executive Director of Global Equities at HSBC.

Karima holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Economics from the University of London.
