Biography

Juan Pablo de Mollein has developed an international career in financial services, focused on capital markets, fixed income, and developing finance across multiple jurisdictions in emerging markets, the U.S. and Europe, and is currently leading the structuring and underwriting process of IFC’s structured transactions in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia across multiple asset classes. He is also responsible for developing credit solutions and pricing methodologies for existing asset securitizations, risk sharing facilities, guarantees and other structured instruments, as well as building credit rating models and process-improvement initiatives.

Before joining IFC in 2018, Juan Pablo de Mollein led the EMEA Structured Finance Ratings Practice at S&P Global Ratings, and he also held several managerial and senior credit analytical roles in emerging markets, the U.S., and Europe. He has extensive experience in developing capital markets, by creating and introducing financial products, and by helping to improve efficiencies, quality, employee engagement and regulatory compliance. Before S&P Global Ratings, he developed expertise as a consultant in both the financial and government sectors in Latin America. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (graduated Cum Laude) from Universidad Catolica Argentina, a master’s degree in Finance, emphasis in Capital Markets, from Universidad del CEMA (Argentina), and has completed the Senior Executive Program in Management at Columbia University.
