Biography

Joe Hurley has spent more than 30 years working in the financial services industry in the US, UK and Dubai. He previously worked at Discover Financial Services as Senior Vice President and as a member of the Management Committee. While at Discover Financial, he led the M&A function for the company’s payments division, investing in fintech companies and generating outstanding results. He was also responsible for putting together Discover Financial’s Net to Net partnerships programme, building corporate alliances with companies including ELO, RuPay, JCB and UnionPay. Most recently, Joe worked in private equity for Financial Services Capital.

Joe Hurley is passionate about fintech and innovation in the market and serves on numerous industry and philanthropic boards, also acting as a board advisor. He graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Virginia with a BA in Business and Economics.
