Biography

James Odede is a Kenyan tech entrepreneur. The Co-founder and CTO of Aquarech, AgTech leveraging mobile technology to improve fish farmers’ productivity, enable market access, and create an inclusive aquaculture value chain in Africa.

A graduate of Maseno University with a Bsc. in Computer Science and Technology, James Odede is passionate about technology, education, Agtech and grassroots social entrepreneurship in Africa.

James Odede was honored by Facebook in 2019 and named among the 40 young Icons of Change in Africa for his contributions in accelerating growth and building an incredible future for the continent. James Odede also serves as a council member in the Kisumu Economic and Social Council (KECOSOC), a body constituted by the Governor of Kisumu County to support the economic and social development of the county.
