Biography

Imran is a Director at Verdant Capital where he oversees Verdant’s Francophone West Africa business. Imran has over 18 years’ experience as a key strategist and investment professional, having started his career at a leading North American investment fund where he helped oversee and actively manage a global portfolio, including its African debt and equity holdings. Subsequent to his tenure at the investment fund, Imran moved back to the Democratic Republic of Congo and launched Verdant Capital’s Kinshasa office, from where he covers Francophone West Africa, and has been working with and advising a range of fast-growing companies in various sectors of the economy including financial services, renewable energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and telecommunications, amongst others.

Imran holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, St. George Campus.
