Biography

Habib is the East Africa Investment Advisor to the United States International Development Finance Corporation, based in Nairobi. In this role, Habib originates, diligences and supports the closing of investments across DFC’s sectors of focus. Prior to this role, Habib was an Associate Principal on the advisory team at CrossBoundary Group and a Senior Investment Associate at the Soros Economic Development Fund, where he worked on debt, equity, and mezzanine investments in Africa and the Middle East. Previously, Habib was an Investment Officer at responsAbility covering agribusiness and financial institutions debt across Africa, the Middle East, and the Caucasus. Habib has also worked at Bboxx, a distributed solar energy company, and One Acre Fund, supporting the launch of an agriculture investment fund in East Africa.

Habib holds an MBA from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and a B.S. in International Business from Northeastern University.
