Biography

Gerald Matthé is a Senior Investment Officer with FinDev Canada in Montreal, responsible for the business development of investment transactions with financial intermediaries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Gerald plays a pivotal role in creating long-term partnerships with Findev Canada’s investment clients and in developing innovative projects that deliver high developmental impact and are financially sustainable.
Prior to joining Findev Canada in 2021, Gerald Matthe worked at the IFC for seven years in Washington, DC and South Africa within the Financial Institutions Group. Gerald Matthe also has previous experience working with credit and income derivatives in Tokyo and Singapore with ABN Amro and RBS.
Gerald Matthe holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Sophia University Tokyo.
