Biography

Duarte Pedreira is an experienced trade financier, who has worked in senior trade finance roles in London, Johannesburg and Luanda. Throughout his career Duarte had exposure to most areas of trade finance, including operations, origination/sales, structuring, forfaiting, syndications, distribution, advisory and insurance underwriting. His most recent roles include Africa Head of Trade Finance Sales for Standard Bank, Structured Finance Advisory Director for Caspian Sea Capital and Credit Insurance Underwriting Manager for AIG. He is currently the Head of Trade Finance at Crown Agents Bank and a Board Member of the International Trade and Forfaiting Association, the global trade finance industry body.
