Biography

Carole Maman is currently Chief Investment Officer of BIO, the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries and coordinates the investments in the fields of financial institutions, enterprises, infrastructure and funds in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Carole has been working in development finance for 2 decades first at the International Finance Corporation in the health and education sector, then at BIO that she joined in 2003 to develop its nascent portfolio in Africa. She started her career in mergers and acquisitions for the Groupe Lagardère in France. Ms Maman is a graduate of ESSEC, Paris.
